Nephi Salt Creek Canyon fire

The fire makes is own white clouds above the smoke . To bad it's not a beautiful site, it is not.

This was a 5th wheel trailer caught in the fire. It's hard to tell that this was someones prized possession.

Rick

My son Rick came for a weeks visit from St. George and we went riding. This is part of the area that burned outside of the town of Fountain Green from the Salt Creek Canyon Fire. It is now black, what a shame.

Kim and Mike

Our daughter Kim and son in law Mike came up from California for a short visit. We spent most of their visit up at Blackhawk hiking and riding the ATV's.

Mike and Kim had a ball riding the ATV's. I think Mike's next big purchase will be a ATV.

Future Home

Mike found this old building and thought he would like to fix it up. I think the fix it up part would be to tear it down.

Larry & Michele

My son Larry and his friend Michele came up from California for a ATV ride. They brought their Rino and we went up over the Skyline and down into Scofield Reservoir, a 65 mile ride.
It was dusty but fun.
Cool at 10,000 ft. and hot in the valley at 97.

Mt. Nebo

Went up to Mt.Nebo with our family from Dallas, TX. Still some snow. and still as beautiful as ever.

Grandkids

Our Grandkids from Texas came up for a short visit.
Put them to work pulling out sagebrush.

Trailer

This is our trailer at Blackhawk. We just had the cover put over it last month.
Now we can keep it out all year. In the past we have had to bring it down for the winter.

Deer and Turkey

Have you ever had to slow down for both a wild turkey and a deer in the road?
We had to, this was at Ponderosa camp on Mt. Nebo loop. We see a lot of deer but very few turkeys.

Spring

This is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Utah.

Snow

What? You didn't think we have snow! Our California friends ask us why we would move to where there is snow. I say it's better then smog.
These are our grand kids, Josh, Rachel and their Mom Grettel playing in the snow at the property. Not a lot of snow this last year. but still fun to play in.

Finished Bath House

This is the finished bath house.

Bath House

With my friend Dennis Harrison we are building a bath house. It has a double shower, a real porcelain toilet, wash sink and is connected in to the septic tank. Judy had to have a porcelain toilet out in the wilds.

Water Tank

Putting in the water tank. We buried it so as not to show. It is up on the property about 300 yds. and gives us good water pressure. No, I didn't did it by hand, the back hoe did the major digging.
